well, that's not entirely correct. it's actually a song by a band called "The Himalayans," circa 1991. adam duritz was the front man of the Bay-area based band, which broke up when his side project, "Counting Crows" signed to geffen.
"Diamonds and Babies and Cars" isn't really that great of a song, but something about the title makes it run repeatedly through my head some days. adam duritz is a pretty brilliant guy. you may disagree. before you do, however, check this out:
